Yeah, so I'm blogging again. First I just want to say I'm sorry to anyone who has been getting email from freeflixtix.com. For some reason, I thought it would be beneficial to sign up and get movie tickets. I didn't realize they would bombard my friends with emails pestering them to sign up. So I cancelled my account today when I finally found out what the actual website was, and anyone who didn't sign up and was getting emails should stop receiving them. Let me know if you get any more...

I got to work at 5:30 this morning to unload our shipment, and just happened to look at the schedule for today and found that I was mysteriously scheduled to stay an hour later than normal. Good thing I looked. So I stayed until 2:30, came home, washed my car and cleaned the interior. I took a shower and now I'm doing this. I'm tired as hell, and may be falling asleep around 8 or so tonite.

I listened to the Guns N Roses Greatest Hits CD yesterday, and that was fun. I got it for $9.99 at Best Buy on Sunday. Good deal...You know I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I wish the Jays had Billy Koch as their closer still. Their bullpen has been bizarre to say the least the past 2 years.

I found out the 311 tix are gonna be $32.50 each. That's a pretty tough pill to swallow, because "convenience" charges and taxes and such will probably bring them to $40 each. That's an awful lot for a show, but they do put on a good show. The Roots open, so that should be interesting. Do I go or pass?

Too tired to do any homework tonite, but have this urge to play basketball strangely enough, even though I can barely keep my eyes open. Suffice it to say I will not be basketball jones tonite, rather, I'll be lazy jones. That's all for now. Peace out.

Holy crap I'm old! Thanks for the wishes kids. gracias. I had my Tuesday class from 4-5:30 tonite. He had some banquet to attend tonite, so we got to leave early, and the classtime was cut in half to boot! Unfortunately I have to wake up at 4 to work tomorrow. Ugh. 2 more weeks of school, and 2 more weeks to finish up my 3 papers. Can't wait. I cut my lip today, I guess while shaving, and it didn't stop bleeding until about 3:50, when I was walking to class...Yes, Eli Manning will get his ass kicked every game next year because the Giants have no line. Rock!

My birthday details...hmmm. Dinner was good I guess-Ribeye with sweet potato was tasty. I got some nice gifts-2 shirts, a new basketball, MLB 2005 for PS2, Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture game with dvd, some money. All stuff I needed or will definitely use.

We're going to see Braid on June 7th, and 311 tix go on sale Saturday for a show July 24 at the PNC center. Nice!

Nilidigiphaguf Day goes back to a country in Africa once known as Botswanaland, but has since been renamed Mozambique. On April 13 it was said that the indigenous people of the country set fire to their weapons in hopes of releasing the evil blood that may be left on them [the wooden handles are turned to ashes, which are then sprinkled on the first born child to protect him/her from evil spirits. The metal is melted down and reformed into statues of their "good" gods. So that's the tale of Nilidigiphaguf Day.

Hey Rob, I just read that the Pats acquired Corey Dillon for a second rounder. I'm happy for you, but scared at the same time, because as much as I hate the guy, he's a damn good runner. Pats repeat!?

I am glad Kim got the classes she wanted because I feel awful about something that happened in her current music class. We were supposed to attend a classical concert on Saturday[long story] but ended up not attending for various reasons when we arrived. She was obviously upset because the show was in Rahway, and she drove all the way down there and couldn't go. Anyway, since I'm such an honest person, I tell her to email her professor and tell him exactly what happened and that you made the effort to go, but circumstances prevented you from going. Anyway, he emailed her back and told her she has to attend another concert instead and report on it. If she hadn't emailed her professor, she probably could have copied someone's program and b.s'd the report. Sorry.

Oh, that Nilidigiphaguf story was made up. Rob made up the word when we were playing Scrabble a long time ago on April 13th.

The NFL schedules came out the other day, and I'm going to list the Bengals schedule, not because anyone wants to see it, but more for my own reference so I can look back and see who they play...

09.12 @ Jets
09.19 MIAMI [Sunday nite-ESPN]
09.26 BALT
10.03 @ Pitt
10.10 BYE WEEK
10.17 @ Cle
10.25 DENVER [Monday nite!-ABC]
10.31 @ Tenn
11.07 DALL
11.14 @ Wash
11.21 PITT
11.28 CLE
12.05 @ Bal
12.12 @ New Eng
12.19 BUFF
12.26 GIANTS
01.02 @ Phi

First of all, holy crap, they're on national tv 2 times, and they haven't been on Monday nite in like 15 years. Secondly, holy crap, that schedule is no fun. They play the Jets and Giants, so I get to see them 2 more times, and they end against the Eagles-brotherly rivalry. Anyway, I was excited to see Monday nite, but wish it was a game they could win.

Tax Day for about another hour. Hope all you procrastinators got that shizzy out in time...I got home from work tonight and saw a duck in my neighbor's driveway. Normally I would say "Hey duck" and continue walking to my door, but something didn't seem right. He was wobbling quite a bit and when I stopped walking to watch him, I noticed he was trying to quack but no sound was coming out. I felt so bad, so I went inside and told my dad and mom. They came out to have a looksy and said to try and call the animal shelter. No one answered but a robot voice. So I called the police non-emergency line and the guy said that animal control isn't there after 5(it was 7:30 or so), but he said he'd try to call some wildlife guy. A few minutes pass and the animal control officer called me. He asked me some questions and told me to see if the duck moved when I chased him. He moved...from my neigbor's driveway to my front lawn. If you don't know my front lawn, then I'll tell you it's all on a hill. The duck struggled to get up the hill on a gimpy leg, but somehow did it. He nested there for a while, and then suddenly fell down the hill and onto his back. He took a while to turn right side up, but finally did, and chilled on my sidewalk. I felt bad for him. Finally the animal control officer called me back and asked me some more questions before I said to come get him because he was obviously injured and would have been eaten by a cat or something if left alone. The guy was there in about 10 minutes and took the duck with him. I don't know the duck's fate, but at least I felt good getting him some help to maybe fix his injured leg.

I worked at 5:30 yesterday morning, and it was frankly a little creepy driving to work at that time. No one was on the road really and it was dark, yet someone still managed to almost hit me in Wallington-the town with the worst drivers in America-on my way to work. It went pretty quickly as I left at 1:30. I couldn't really sleep when I got home, so I ate lunch and showered. I fell asleep for about an hour before dinner, and went to bed after watching another pretty funny South Park. Today I went in at 10, and my mind was all flustered. I felt like I should have been going home at like 4, even though I had to stay until 7. Anyway, back to normal 8-5 tomorrow before the weekend starts. Warmer weather in the outlook before jury duty on Tuesday. I got some good directions and advice, so hopefully my nervousness won't be at its height on Tuesday morning. Gotta go to bed soon. Enjoy the weekend!

Happy Nilidigiphaguf Day!

I just found out I have to be at work for 5:30 am tomorrow. I think I'll be going to sleep as soon as I get home from class...

I'm going to sound mushy for the first part of this blog, so don't read it if you don't want to...I felt extremely lucky today. After all the times that I complain on this blog about how much shit luck I have and how much I hate my job and school, and how broke I am, I was thinking how lucky I am to have such a tremendous girlfriend. I guess maybe I'm getting over the fact that lots of people have things much worse than I do, but I believe it's just another sign of reasons why I want to spend my life with her. When muddling thru a crappy Monday at only 10:30 in the morning on a day that consists of working to 3, going directly to the doctor, home to change and up to class, I found myself smiling after thinking about her. And the sign of how true that one moment was this morning, she ended up calling me at work no less than an hour after that smile came across my face. I'm lucky to have such a wonderful partner. I hope me saying this doesn't come off as bragging or I hope it doesn't make anyone feel bad, but it's actually just me hoping that my awesome friends have found or will find someone that will make them feel as lucky as I do.

If you are still reading, I'll breakdown my weekend. Friday I worked, went to the doctor, and went to China Garden for dinner with Kim. Good food and ate some good pistachio ice cream for dessert. Saturday we grabbed lunch, bought some cds and the Weezer dvd, and dyed some eggs for Easter. As Kim mentioned, we made an appearance at our friend Brandon's house, where we also chatted with John and Kate. It was nice to see old friends doing well. On Sunday, I ate Easter dinner with my family and picked up Kim afterwards to come back to my grandmother's house where we watched the Mets game and Arena football. Watched Alias at night and did my homework after. Thus ended the weekend.

Did anyone see South Park last week? I missed it, but heard it was humorous. So, I heard you got served. Looking forward to seeing where the Sixers trade Iverson. Actually, as much as I'm sure most people hate him, I still like him. They've got some good players on the team, but they just need a few more pieces. Willie Green, Korver, and Salmons are solid to decent fill-ins, with Green having talent to be a starter. Dalembert is a monster in the making, and Kenny Thomas and Snow are still real good players. Big Dog was a big waste, and DC's career is over, but if Marc Jackson recovers from his injury for next year, he will play as well as he did before the injury. Anyone got Atari? I've got an itch to play some Dig Dug.

The fun at my uncle's house this past Sunday was beyond words, but I cannot post pictures on this site, so you cannot see what a shit time I had. Needless to say, I'm just as excited about the most boring holiday coming up this Sunday. I finished my homework for tonite's class and I'm waiting for Kim to get home from seeing her advisor before we grab a bite and head back up to school. The game last night was pretty ugly, and it only finished as close as it did because UConn slowed down their pace and lost their momentum for the last 10 minutes of game time. The final four games made up for the lackluster final anyhow. Good start for the Jays, but I can't say I wasn't expecting the opening day loss. They didn't start well last season either, and Halladay started 0-5 or something. Besides, everyone kept saying how Halladay is dominant when facing Detroit. Jinx. Also, Lawrence Rocca, baseball columnist for the Star Ledger picked Toronto to win the World Series. I can't say I wasn't slightly excited by this, but is he serious. Their GM doesn't even think they'll be in the playoffs until next season.

I'm going to renew my license this Thursday, so we'll see what all the fuss is about for these new digital licenses. I'm gonna go twiddle my thumbs now.
