I went to class last night feeling even worse than I felt last Monday, but I didn't want to miss 2 in a row. I woke up today with my entire left side of my nose stuffed completely. At least my throat doesn't hurt as much. I think I actually slept pretty well, however, so that's a positive. I've already done some homework this morning, but still have a little more to do. I hope I can get rid of this cold or whatever soon. I found out last night that if I choose not to enroll in classes in the fall, I have until October to start paying back my loans from this semester. That gives me some time over the summer to save up some money hopefully. That reminds me, good luck to Kevin in your MBA classes starting tonite, and good luck to Matt in your exit exam and finding a job! I don't believe you're done already. Wow.

If I feel well enough, Kim and I are probably gonna hang out with Katie and Chris. Then on Sunday, I have to go to my uncle's house for some reason to have pre-Easter dinner. Easter is in 2 weeks. This means 2 Sundays in a row are going to be wasted sitting inside at a relative's house. This is bad for several reasons, but mainly because I have to finish my 20-page paper, and two 10-page papers before the semester ends around May 8th or something. Sunday is one of my days I do a lot of work, but I guess not those two weeks.

I'm wearing my freshly-purchased Vernon Wells jersey with the new Jays logo. I know every team has black as a color, but man, it looks really good with the blue and silver logo. It's Saturday and I am happy it's the weekend. I'm still not feeling spectacular, but it's nice out today, so I have to get out and get some air. I'm excited about baseball starting soon and noticed that the most expensive seats to see a Jays game is $54 in Canadian funds. That's pretty damn good I think to sit on the field in a nice stadium. Anyway, while Kevin may be starting a Master's program, I'm putting mine on hiatus. By the way, Kev, best of luck. I just wasn't into the program at all, and I don't see the point in continuing to get into further debt. I may get back to it a few years down the road. Who knows? Well, I'm gonna go check my mail and watch the Mets game before hanging out with Kim.

Hellooooo. I spent last night not going to class. I felt like crap. I don't know if it's a cold or allergies, but I just felt terrible overall. Tired especially. I'm stuffy today and still tired, even though I slept 800 hours. Probably going to class tonite, unless I suddenly feel worse, but hopefully that won't happen. I got a haircut this morning, so the girl who cuts my hair and I took turns sniffling, since she is also sick. I did some work last night for some of my papers that are due at the end of the semester, but my eyelids were too heavy to do much. I did a little more this morning. Don't feel like doing much, though. I'm still feeling very blah.

I have further reason to hate Warren Sapp now. I hope the Raiders go 0-16 this year. Oh yeah, the Bengals still don't have a starting cornerback. Hey Garet, how's your cover skills? As for the NCAAs, I'm glad I didn't enter a pool, but I filled out a bracket for shits & giggles. I usually pick a bunch of wacky teams, and Maryland has been a pick for me to go to the finals for like 6 consecutive years. My final four is a joke, but I still have some teams alive...I had GT, Ok State, Maryland, and Xavier(sorry Matt, but I fantasized about Illinois beating Duke in my bracket...it could happen. hahahahahahahahahahaha). Anyway, I still did well considering all the upsets that happened. I actually picked quite a few, but it doesn't matter anyway, since I'm not in a pool. Somehow, the Cuse is still alive, which I didn't think would happen either.

In the possible-good news front, my excellent sister in law Rachel is putting in a good word for me as a teacher in Howell. Here's to hoping she's a good persuasionist. There's only so much more I can take of this walgreens nonsense. Hey Rob, we may come up to visit you in Boston for a weekend this summer, so get the pinata and clown ready for a kick-ass party.

It's Sunday, and as usual, I already don't want Monday to come. This week it's not as bad as usual because I know I don't have school this week. I still have to try to do a lot of homework, however, because I will always be behind once classes resume next week. Too much reading and writing. Anyway, yesterday was fun. Despite Kim still not feeling well, she was a champ, and still had the energy to hang out. We went to Houlihan's in Weehawken, which is right along the piers. It would have been even more beautiful if it wasn't so cold and windy outside. We ate their dirty nachos and had a damn good meal afterwards. We decided to catch a movie at the venerable Allwood theater. It's 6 bucks to get in as opposed to 9 or 10 elsewhere. We decided on Hidalgo because it was playing sooner than the Johnny Depp movie, which I didn't really want to see anyway. So it started at 4:30 and ended just before 7. It was a little long, but enjoyable. It was nice not hearing a movie spattered with "fucks," "shits," and "assholes." I don't think there were any of those;in fact, I think the only word I heard only a few times was "hell." And there wasn't any gratuitous sex or any at all for that matter, which surprisingly was refreshing. It was just a good ol' adventure along the lines of a hero like Indiana Jones, but with not nearly as much action sequences. We went home afterwards to eat our dinner of hot pretzels and watched South Park and Chappelle's Show until Kim had to go home.

I got a jury summons the other day. This is gonna be the first time I'll have to go, and I'm not real excited about it. It's April 20th, which is a few days before my bday, and it's on my only day off(Tuesday). I am not a fan of driving into Newark in the first place, so I hope I only have to report one day and get dismissed. If I'm real lucky, I'll get called off the night before. I got summoned while at WP, but I got excused because I was working to pay off my school, and had classes that conflicted. Also, I have to renew my license before the end of April, and there's all this new crap that you need in NJ now. I need a civil birth certificate issued by the state(not the one from the hospital), as well as two other forms of ID and proof of address. And I'll still have to wait in line for 2 hours. I hope these digital licenses are worth it, because no one believes my age, so there's really no way I could fake this ID.

Next week is spring break! Woo! Not real sure what that means, but no class at least. I guess it's like a catch-up week for my work, but I just don't want to do it at all...I talked to my friend Evan, who I met while subbing in Livingston, and he just got a job in Newark. His briefcase has his planbook, some worksheets, and a gat. Protect ya neck. No seriously, how he ended up there is a funny story I would have to tell you in person. I'm addicted to Planter's Honey Roasted Peanuts right now. I bought a can from work, and haven't been able to stop eating them all night, except while eating dinner. Looking more and more forward to the warmer weather. We have plans on purchasing bicycles this summer to get around as a backup to resuming our jogging schedule. I can't wait to get back into the air. I need to get my blood pumping and stuff. I also really want to play some ball, but they took away my court in Nutley. I think they're putting up a monument for Martha Stewart in its place. Ba-zing. No, they just tore it up for no reason. Looks like I'll be playing in my crooked-ass yard full of tree roots...

NFL free agency is always an adventure. You can't buy a jersey of your favorite player because more than likely, he won't be on the team for more than 3 years. Over the past two seasons, however, I have begun to like it because the Bengals actually have a chance at signing some decent players. This year they brought in 2 new defensive starters, as well as re-signed their awesome kicker and center. They did decide to cut both of their starting cornerbacks from last season without signing a replacement for either yet, although they are supposed to sign either Bobby Taylor or Troy Vincent. While I'm on the subject of sports, I am really glad the Rangers cleaned house and brought in some fresh faces. They got rid of a lot of waste, but still have an abundance of it(Tom Poti, Darius Kasparaitis). They got rid of the only player who represented the team for the past 15 years, which was upsetting, but his play isn't nearly as good as it once was. They'll finally have a chance to give their younger guys(young in terms of Rangers years) more of a chance(LaCouture, Ortmeyer, Purinton, Lundmark). They're not the best, but it's better than watching a bunch of underachieving 40-year-olds skate around aimlessly. Hmm, what else, the NCAAs are around the corner, and my 6 year tradition of picking Maryland won't continue this year. Actually, I think I picked Kansas last year. Luckily I was wrong as usual. I miss the bloggers. Looks like I'll be doing some phone usage to get your asses back up here. There's no humor here without you guys!

With all this hype about the Mel Gibson film, The Passion of The Christ or something like that, I was thinking that the actor who plays Jesus in the movie can't really get another role. It's like, "Hey man, I just got the part of Stiffler in American Pie 4." "Oh yeah, well I was Jesus." I mean once you're Jesus, you can't really get a bigger role, so I guess his acting days are over. Anyway, did anyone actually see the movie? I'm curious about it, but am afraid I may not get the full effect of it since I'm not really religious...

Today's my brother's birthday. Happy birthday, even though I don't think you read this. I got my first paper back from my theories class. He gave me an A and wrote many compliments on it. I was happy because I don't think I did A work, and even if I did, it was largely due to the fact that everyone shared their ideas with the class and was given feedback before we worked on the paper alone. So I handed in my second paper today, and am glad I have that A, because this will surely even out the grade to a solid B. I honestly had no idea what I was talking about, but only time will tell what el profesor feels. I'm relieved that school is over for the week, unfortunately, I have to be at work at 8 tomorrow. Zoinks! I'm contemplating my future at grad school because I feel like I'm struggling with the material, and feel as if I'm not really ready to commit myself to it at this time. I'm hoping things get a bit easier as I get further into different classes, but right now I'm completely overwhelmed and pressed because whether I go back or not, I don't want to do poorly.

As for Kim's previous post, I think it would be nice to spend a week at my brother's house alone. We care for their fish and maintain their pool, etc, but we get to lounge around, stay away from work, hit the beach, hit the pool, and possibly have a get-together (hint). Nothing outrageous, but a little fun nonetheless. So I look forward to that, and the possibility of finding a teaching job. Yes, I'm gonna try again after taking a reprieve, since I need a real job first, and then I can always go back to grad school. It should be another interesting few months ahead.
