I flu to Jacksonville to visit T.O.

For the last 3 days I have been statuesque on my couch and/or bed suffering from this little nasty we call influenza. During these 3 days, I have:

  • watched tv or dvds
  • read the newspaper
  • done crossword puzzles
  • checked my email (and now blogged)
  • embibed various liquids (i.e. water, iced tea, hawaiian punch, hi-c orange)
  • taken medication
  • slept
  • listened to various sports "geniuses" bad-mouth Terrell Owens

So I will now address my feeling about the last item in the list. Everyone is calling the guy names and saying he's overrated and he won't be effective. No one is giving the guy credibility in the fact that he's trying to play because he knows he's the best receiver in the game and trying to give his team the edge to win the biggest football game of their lives. As my brother said:

If it were Brett Favre, everyone would be blowing him.

It's ridiculous. In addition to that, very few people are giving the Eagles a chance in the game. So far, I've only heard one person give the Eagles a chance with valid reasons. In my opinion, I think the Pats can be beaten, and I think the Eagles should throw deep on their secondary. So my X-factor for the game is Greg Lewis.

In other news, with all the time I've had sitting around, I came up with what I thought was a good idea-I will write a children's book about Celiac Disease (what my brother & sis-in-law have). Well, after looking up some publishers, I found a publisher that might match up with the idea. Then I went to amazon and found a book's already been made.

Time to head back to the couch.
