Ahh, glorious Tuesdays. I get to hopefully catch up on my sleep for the week by sleeping in till about 9:30. I then continued doing homework, which is a perpetual event for me. It only goes on hiatus while I'm working, sleeping, and eating. It's now just about noon, so I cannot function intellectually anymore, so this blog may be branded with dozens of swear words due to my lack of vocabulary. Yeah, so homework is killing me. The readings are just overwhelming, and I'm hoping it gets better very soon. I also noticed that I can barely read the notes I took, so I have to remember how to write well enough to comprehend it at a later date. Since I woke up and did homework all morning, I have yet to take a shower or do anything else. Luckily, the only thing on my agenda is my night class at 5:30 tonite. No work today, thank god.
I currently have an academic hold at Montclair due to immunizations. Apparently, I never received a second measles vaccination, which makes no sense because William Paterson has the same requirements as Montclair, and I graduated from WP without any word of this missing vaccination. So I have to go up to WP and get my records from the health center to see what the deal is. The only problem is that the only time I can go is Tuesday during the day, and my mom has the car today, and last Tuesday it snowed.
I will now go into my Super Bowl retrospective...I hitched a ride with my brother's friend Moose to my brother's house. We arrived at 4 and ate immediately. We had some doritos, veggies and dip, and m&ms to start, then the good food arrived:
*4 pound shrimp ring
*3 pounds of fried and coconut shrimp
*75 wings from hooters
*100 hal-dogs
*chicken fingers and jalapeno poppers
*nachos
*Rachel's home-made lasagna
*dirt
*my jello cake thing
*jello football helmets
I ate one or more of everything listed, and we played catch with the famous Illuminator football pre-game, and at the half. As for the game itself, well I was bored to tears for the first 35 minutes of gametime. Finally, there was some action before the half to stir some anticipation for the second half, which was outstanding. I have to admit, I was pulling for the Panthers, especially when they actually kept it close, but I knew they weren't going to hold the lead. The night ended on a good note for me as I won $65 for getting the final score in a grid pool. Only $3,435 more needed for a down payment for a car! Hey hey! I'm off to the showers and probably read more before class.
